Financial Policy

Payment Responsibility

Patients/guardians are responsible for the full cost of all services at the time they are rendered.

Calm Tides Psychiatry does not bill insurance on behalf of patients.

Upon request, a superbill can be provided for potential reimbursement through your insurance, FSA, or HSA; reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Payment Timing

Session fees are collected on the day of service.

For telehealth appointments, payment must be completed before the session begins.
Outstanding Balances

Balances must be paid in full before future appointments can be scheduled.

If a card is declined, the patient/guardian must update payment information within 48 hours.
Refunds

Payments for completed clinical services are non-refundable.

Overpayments or billing errors will be corrected promptly.
Superbills & Reimbursement

Upon request, superbills will be issued monthly or after each visit.

Patient is responsible for submitting all documents to insurance if reimbursement is pursued.

Calm Tides Psychiatry does not communicate with insurance companies or guarantee reimbursement amounts.
Telehealth Requirements

Patient must be physically located in South Carolina at the time of the appointment.
-
Payment policies remain the same for telehealth and in-office visits.
